The date of April 13th was notable in the life of Little Rose as was mentioned at our spring fundraiser in 2019.
In 1929, it was on this day, in the presence of five witnesses, while Rose was in ecstasy, she asked Our Lord if her suffering were to last very long. She repeated His answer saying . . . "Seven years!!" Then she counted on her fingers the age she would be by that time and stopped at the age of thirty-three. Rose was then twenty-six years old. It seems as though Our Lord asked her if that was too long? For, she answered at once and eagerly: "Oh, no, come and get me when You want. I am willing to suffer a hundred years if You wish. It is my sacrifice to stay." This is written in both the book "She Wears a Crown of Thorns" and the novena pamphlet biography written by Rev. Boyer. Both have the approval stamp of the Imprimatur.
When the Foundation was trying to secure a date for our April fundraiser, it is also interesting to note that April 13th was the only date available.
